1. We at US Bank in the Vanderhoof Community Room starting at 6:00.
2. The meeting with start with mingling and drinks and snacks. That will be followed by sitting down and introducing ourselves (even if we already know each other because there might be one new person who doesn’t know us) as well as sharing one thing that would be helpful to us either in our business or personal life (for example “My husband and I are looking for someone to paint our house…does anyone know a good painter? If so, let us know at the end of the meeting?) because what better group to ask for a referral than a group of your peers?
3. Then we will sit down and limit the business part of the meeting where we make decisions and update from subcommittees to 15 minutes! (We like to keep a clean time limit for this).
4. Following this we will have a 20 minute program that is provided by one of our RFYP members. This is not intended to be a business pitch to your fellow RFYPs. Rather, it is a chance to share knowledge that might be helpful to your peers or share something that is an interest of yours that fellow RFYPs might be interested in. An example of a topic would be me doing a presentation like “Do It Yourself projects that Add to the Value of your Home!” or “Picking a Lender when Buying a Home-What to Look for, what to Do!” You can also email me with your topic if you can’t make the meeting for some reason.
5. After the program we will go back to mingling and we will all put our business cards in a basket to draw out the business card of a fellow member that between meetings you will try to go to lunch or something to take networking beyond just our monthly meetings!
6. A serious effort will be made to keep the meeting to under an hour but pack it full of things that are useful for the membership.
7. Emails will go out via the chambers e-blast template one week before the meeting to announce the program. A reminder email will be sent out on Monday morning so that you don’t forget to come!
